Thus benedict (blessing) means good words or words. One who blesses means to say kind words, noble words. Words can bring blessings to others or they can be curses. Depends on what comes out of the mouth, good or bad. If we had to choose, I'm sure we would choose to speak well. We will be happy to hear people say good words from others, so other people will certainly prefer to hear good words from us, not swear words or words of reproach.
